1. Information we collect
- Analytics data: FiveStat uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This may include approximate location, device and browser information, pages visited and time spent on pages.
- Contact information: If you email FiveStat, we process the information you choose to provide so that we can respond.
- Newsletter subscriptions: If you sign up for the FiveStat newsletter, we collect your email address and subscription preferences. Our email service provider, MailerLite, may also record subscription confirmation, email delivery, opens, clicks and unsubscribe activity.
2. How we use information
We use analytics information to understand how people use FiveStat and improve the site; this is subject to applicable cookie consent requirements. We process contact enquiries to respond to messages, based on our legitimate interests in handling enquiries where appropriate.
We send newsletter emails only to people who have opted in. Consent is the lawful basis for this email marketing, and you may withdraw it at any time.
FiveStat does not sell personal data. We use MailerLite to collect newsletter subscriptions, manage confirmations and unsubscribes, and send emails. MailerLite processes subscriber addresses and related subscription activity on our behalf. Google Analytics and other operational service providers may also process relevant information subject to their applicable privacy terms. Service providers may process data internationally under applicable safeguards.
Newsletter signup is optional. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each newsletter or by contacting us directly. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.
3. How long we keep information
We retain active newsletter subscription details while you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe or request deletion, we stop sending newsletters and delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed, except for limited records required to respect your opt-out or meet legal obligations. We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and manage related enquiries. Analytics retention is governed by our configured analytics settings.
4. Cookies
Cookies and similar technologies may be used for site analytics and to remember preferences such as whether a notice has been dismissed. You can restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings.
5. Your rights
Under UK data-protection law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and receive your data in a portable format where applicable. You can withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, email fivestatanalytics@gmail.com. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner\'s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
